Welcome to SerialRensai.com. It is I, a disembodied voice referring to itself through pronouns. You may also notice my definitely not fake name around the site. Yep.
Things are still a bit disorganized around here, so please excuse the mess. Feel free to come in; if you’d like to take your shoes off, there’s a spot over there.
You may be wondering about what the name means. Well, “serial” is a story written and published in pieces, over time. Rensai, on the other hand, is the romanized version of 連載. 連載 is the Japanese word for serial. Yes, the title translates to “Rensai Serial”.
For now, content is still being prepared, but enjoy the blog for some nice snackable pieces while the main course is being prepared. Look forward to some tasty home-cooked dishes, such as techniques for writing a serial, writing experiments and results, and finished pieces of fiction.
Also Japan. I mean, not only Japan, but there’s a lot of Japan. Kinda a big deal in my family. Not sure if you noticed, but I’ve already referenced Japan earlier in this post! Also also, dumb jokes. Good ones too, but mostly dumb ones. You also may have already noticed that.
Our current menu includes:
One new post every Tuesday, at least. (Currently on Hiatus until May; no guaranteed schedule)
While in the development kitchen:
Sorry, we’re currently helping over in the main kitchen getting everything ready. Check back soon!
I know there’s a lot competing for your attention, so Thank you very much for visiting, and if you enjoyed it, we would be very happy if you would come again. More content is on the way over the next few weeks. Some will be popping up unexpectedly. If you can, please also consider sharing this with others; that’s the biggest job for this site to grow, and every little bit helps. And, as a farewell gift, remember: never write your about page while hungry.
